Congratulations to HUNT Real Estate’s very own Chip Murphy!

Out of nearly 3,000 applicants, Chip has been chosen as one of the honorees to appear in REALTOR® Magazine's annual "30 under 30" feature for 2018. His profile will appear in the May/June 2018 issue.

The 30 Under 30 list is published each spring to recognize 30 rising stars in the real estate industry who, per REALTOR® Magazine, are successful in the real estate business and have “demonstrated skill, success, creativity, and leadership in their careers”. Chip, along with the rest of the 2018 class, has illustrated all of these traits through his business acumen and dedication to improving the industry, along with his involvement in his local community.

In his submission to REALTOR® Magazine to be considered for the 30 Under 30 feature, Chip explained how he made the transition from being a law student to becoming a branch director in the real estate industry, and why that was the right choice for him.

I currently direct more than 200 agents. Their success is truly my success. As a regional branch director, I'm involved in all of the several thousand deals that are closed by my agents every year. One very rewarding part of my career has been the ability to hold sales meetings in which I focus on various educational and skill-building topics."

Congrats Chip!

HUNT Liverpool Branch Director Lynn Mallaro Nominated for United Way of CNY's Rising Star Award

Every year, the United Way of Central New York has an Achievement Celebration to wrap-up their campaign year and recognize those that helped them execute their annual fundraising effort. At the event, United Way recognizes those people who went above and beyond for the United Way.

Headshot Lynn Mallaro
Our very own Lynn Mallaro, Branch Director for HUNT Liverpool, has been selected as one of the final nominees for United Way of Central New York's inaugural Rising Star Award. This award acknowledges Campaign Coordinators who truly go above and beyond. United Way of CNY created this award to "...recognize and honor those individuals who have taken the mission of United Way to heart and done their utmost to organize a creative, engaging, and enthusiastic campaign for their workplace. This award is never about the dollars raised, but the initiative, drive, pride, and care put into the effort."

Tom Ferlito, Account Manager at the United Way of Central New York said, "Lynn did an exceptional job, particularly for a first-year coordinator. She surveyed the HUNT workplace to find the volunteer interests that would appeal most to staff, and then worked to sign up 30+ volunteers to go out and make a difference across three different locations."

There are nine workplaces in total being nominated in this category. The winners for each category will be announced at the Achievement Celebration, held on Wednesday, April 18th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Palace Theater in Eastwood.

Admission is free and all HUNT agents and staff are welcome to attend.

Way to go Lynn!

How To Give Your Kitchen a Quick Facelift: Agent Advice

Looking to sell your home? You may consider updating your kitchen to add value to your home. If you can’t afford the time and money required to do a full kitchen overhaul, HUNT Real Estate Sales Professional Lauren from out Brighton Pittsford office has some great tips on how to give your kitchen facelift.

  1. Trade out your old appliances. Old black or white appliances can make a kitchen look old. Swap out your old appliances for stainless steel appliances. This can update the look of your kitchen instantly.
  2. Switch out your old countertops. If your home has laminate or Corian countertops, replace them with granite. Granite can get expensive, so stick to some of the more affordable granite options including Napoli, Baltic Brown, and St Cecilia. Save the more expensive granite for your new home.
  3. Paint. Repaint your kitchen cabinets and add new hardware. This simple change can have a big impact, and doesn’t cost much!
Try these three quick fixes to update your kitchen in time for your open house! Contact a HUNT Real Estate Professional if you're thinking about selling your home.
